Bucket List Homestead is a family of eight "living the dream" in Rural Hall, N.C. on their 14-acre farm. They have several A2/A2 Jersey cows giving multiple gallons a day. Their cows are pasture grazed, and they feed alfalfa pellets or grain to their Jerseys during milking time.
Their Jerseys are milked by machine twice a day, and then they strain the milk into plastic milk jugs and refrigerate immediately. Raw milk is $15/gallon. They operate mainly on a herdshare agreement. They are currently taking customers.
They also sell chicken eggs as well as pasture-raised chicken. If you would like to purchase some pasture-raised chicken, contact them through their website at bucketlisthomestead.com or email them at bucketlisthomestead@gmail.com to let them know what you're interested in, and they will let you know what their availability is.
The farm also carries pork, lamb, and ground beef from other local farms.

Down to Earth Farm has a small flock of pastured dairy sheep and laying hens. They strive to keep the sheep on pasture year-round but do supplement with alfalfa pellets before and after lambing. They also feed high quality local hay to the sheep in the winter. No animal by-product feed, hormones, or antibiotics used. In the summer, the sheep rotate through the pastures and the chickens follow in mobile coops, fertilizing the pasture and breaking up the parasite cycle in the sheep. They offer raw sheep milk at $5/quart or $9/half gallon. They offer eggs for $5/dozen. Delivery into Asheville or Marshall upon request. You are also welcome to come out to the farm to pick up milk. Call for availability of the milk and/or to order. See other places where you can find products from this farm.
